Dear Sr. Suzanne, prayers for your cousin's wife for sure...what we do to the web of life affects us all, so Japan's tragedy is ours as well, no matter the distance. I pray she is safe. Thank you for including us in this prayer, with communal prayer the load is lighter and the hope greater!

Joan I am sorry to hear about your losses and those which rightfully so have clenched your heart this Lent. As you start to release your heart again and open it I will keep your intentions in prayer. Thank you for taking time to comment and share your hope and belief in the resurrection!

thanks for this lovely blogpost. it was a blessing for all of us to bless you and baby with the mystery name at our home the other nite....i just got word that my second cousin's wife went to tokyo to visit her family the week before the earthquake/tsunami/nuclear upset. prayers please. her husband is here in the states. the world is so small with social media that i do feel all of this has happened in our own backyard and that our prayer connections are one of the strongest ways we can help others at this time. blessings on all, sr. suzanne

Just an astounding meditation made so tangible with the amazing full-est moon in decades! I have been focused on the heart this Lent...a heavy heart when my daughter-in-law lost her pregnancy last weekend , a sad heart this first Lent/Easter since my mom passed away, the task of keeping an open heart when tempted to harden it's protective walls but you have reminded me that we Christians are Resurrection people, we believe in happy endings!

I just want to thank you for a very beautiful post. To lean into the light tonight, with our beautiful moonlight bright and clear above us, with the death of self to give birth to community...
Blessings on you and your baby to come, on your family and community.
